In this 2 hour workshop, I will focus on the postpartum period and how it affects many mothers. I will discuss what the postpartum period is and will challenge the traditional beliefs about how long the postpartum period can last. I will also share some practical ways to manage postpartum. Women will be able to be in community with other moms who may be going through the same beautiful struggle.

Although anyone can attend, please note this workshop is geared towards the following woman:

• The woman who has a child between the ages of newborn and 2 years old
• The woman who is pregnant
• Providers working with pregnant women and/or mothers (CE units are available for California clinicians who hold a LMFT, LCSW, LPCC, and LEP license).

In this workshop, I will hold space to discuss the disparities Black women experience in Maternal and Infant health, as this is an ongoing issue for women in my community, thus the reason I continue to hold space for Black women in the postpartum phase of life.
